Min Koo Kang

Bio: Dr. Kang grew up in Seoul, South Korea. He received his B.S. degree from Seoul National University, one of the highest ranked universities in South Korea. While attending SNU, Dr. Kang joined the military and served his country for 3 years as an Air Traffic Controller at Wonju Airbase in Seoul, South Korea. After his service, Dr. Kang decided to go to the United States to further his studies.
While studying the English at the University of Delaware one summer, Dr. Kang injured his ankle while he was playing basketball. This accident gave him his first opportunity to go to see a chiropractor. Dr. Kang walked into the doctor’s office without knowing that this visit to the doctor would change his life forever. He became interested in the chiropractic philosophy and realized that as a chiropractor, he would be able to help people who were suffering from many types of health issues. He also realized that he would be able to educate people that had been mislead with health information.
Dr. Kang attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, the fountainhead of chiropractic. While attending Palmer, he studied the Gonstead System and served as the Gonstead Club Executive Officer and Treasurer. He also worked as a Teacher’s Assistant in the Technique Department and served as the President of the Palmer Korean Student Association.
Dr. Kang graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic with Magna Cum Laude. He also finished his internships from the Palmer Academic Health Center in Davenport, Iowa and the East Moline Chiropractic Clinic in Moline, Illinois. After his internships, Dr. Kang moved to Arizona where he practiced before moving to his new home in Northern Virginia.
Dr. Kang uses a "whole person approach." This approach to wellness means looking for underlying causes of any disturbances from inside or outside of your body, and make possible interventions and lifestyle changes that would optimize the conditons for normal function. Using this approach, Dr. Kang is able to help you to achieve REAL WELLNESS.
Dr. Kang currently resides in the NoVA area with his wife, daughter and son. He enjoys various outdoor activities including mountain biking, running, weight lifting, and skiing. He also loves any opportunity to talk about health and chiropractic with others.
